Extra TV signal went on the air in April 1994. Since then, it covers 95% of Limassol district with two powerful central transmitters (Silo - Channel 33 and Armenohori - Channel 61), as defined by Cyprus Radio-Television Authority and the Ministry of Communications and Works.

Soon after the introduction of Digital TV-cable in Cyprus, Extra TV Company came into agreement with Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA), to have Extra TV program transmitted via CYTA’s Mi-Vision TV-cable services, and now Extra Tv can be watched all-over Cyprus in Mi Vision Channel 26.
 
Extra TV’s privately owned premises are located in Zakaki Limassol. It’s a four-floor building (2.500 sq mtrs in a 5.500 sq mtrs area), with an open-parking area for approximately 100 cars. Two Studios covering 800 sq meters are used for the production of news bulletins and Talk shows.  There are three more sub-studios in Nicosia, Larnaka and Paphos. Both, studios’ and workshops’ equipment, are works of up-dated and high technology.
 
More than thirty vehicles (different types and fully equipped) allow Extra TV personnel to be anywhere, at any time, as and when required for the smooth running of the Station.  A specially equipped OB Van with three cameras is offered for external live telecasting.  In general, Extra TV premises (including all necessary/high technology equipment), as well as the high standard of education and training of all personnel are well-above any expectations by experts.  
 
Extra TV employs, approximately 50 (fifty) experienced professionals, specialising in various areas (journalists, producers, technicians, video-editors, anchors, administrative/training personnel) who cover all the necessary requirements of a highly demanding and modern Television Station.

Extra TV not only offers various programmes for young children (up to the age of fourteen) which are more than enough to cover their daily requirements, but, also covers the whole family; as a result, most of the times, it gets high ‘viewers’ ratings of over 64%.
 
Extra TV has, exclusively, signed long-term agreements with very well-known Production Companies and News’ Agencies in abroad; e.g. APTN, CNN, BBC and various Greek TV Stations and also the big alternative ALTER channel.
